These goofs sold me ppg 5096 and didnt inform me that i had to use ppg nc272 sealer with ppg dmc 987,organic orange,to achieve the proper color,they went on to say that it doesnt matter what color primer you top this with the color will be the same!!I hope this post will save anyone who uses toreador red metallic some future grief, Big thanks to carquest for showing me the info,in plain english,right there on the paint formula screen!!

It's a recommendation, not a requirement!!
With enough coats, or the proper shade of ground coat, it will hide. If you tried topcoating that color over gray primer it would take several coats to achieve hiding. There are several colors similar to that one that are poor hiding colors.
