Kind of like Dodge's remake of the original Charger and making it a four door, which is a design flaw in my opinion, Sorry, Now I am just rambling. Well, at least we still have drag racing where a normal guy can still build a car and go racing and have fun within budget limits.
lame post.. if they drove stock cars they'd get killed every week

they where not stock from day one..
50's cars with truck axles and part
60' cars with ford frames and gm truck long arms with a body on the frame
70's updated of ^^ the same
80's aftermarket chassis perpous built for teams (not even the RCR#3 was build inhouse chassis)
90's as the reardrive cars died, they moved to fwd models, bases on the same 80's chassis with a body that the roof/hood/deck was the factory skin..
early 200o's same as above, Big E is killed, work on C.O.T. starts
chassis is patterned after mid 60's front sub. and still truck arm rear
2010 on they try to bring the cars back to looking like the showroom model, as much as a car that run 200mph+ can..

only people that never where fans, say today nascar sucks cause the cars are not stock.. they never where and never will be..

N.H.M.S. 75 bucks a day rv spot,, in the rv city..
whats the indy 500 cost??
have anyone gone to a NHRA dragrace lately??
not a cheap w-end..
again daytona is still nascars superbowl.. you can cry all you want about the cost..
then tell me what 2 tickets/hotel/food is at the superbowl.. hope you got 10k to blow..
daytona is cheap..
2 tickets and parking to a redsox vs yanks game cost more than rv thurs -sunday and tickets for all days at the nascar race..
have any been to a nascar rv city, most of these rigs are 100k+ and you'll cry over a 950.oo rv week pass..
what a hotel gonna cost for a week at speed week.. 250+ a NIGHT

IT'S LIKE THE GUY THAT BUILDS A ROD OR FAST CAR , has 20-50k in it. then barks cause it was 70 bucks in gas for the w-end cruise... ****

You are entitled to your opinion, but saying anyone else is wrong, or their posts lame, or they're nor fans because they have a different opinion of what represented stock, IS wrong IMO.

In the very beginning, cars were raced w/basically no mods. And, sure- there have been cheaters from day one, one of the very first races had the winner disqualified for running different springs than stock.

There are race series that use cars MUCH closer to production. Current NASCAR cars are merely a silhouette, and not even good ones at that.

from day one they ran highly moded cars, with tons of truck parts as the car parts failed.. they found this out way before there was a "nascar"
I'm sick of people bashing nascar because the cars are not stock in any way shape or form.. they post LIES about "back in the day they ran stock cars" they never did.. never will..
the cars "back in the day might have " "looked" stock.. but where nothing of the sort.. it was a lame post and a sorry b/s reason to hate todays nascar, todays cars look as close to the showroom car as can be.. and still keep the drive safe..
unless you agree that a fullframe race car back in the day running a ford frame and front sub and a g.m. truck long arm rear set up. came under any car stock..
even the earliest cars that ran had truck spindles/kinpins/axles/etc etc etc..
yes a fan would know this, and would know that if they used stock cars drivers would be killed every w-end.
who's gonna watch a bunch of 4 door unitbody fwd cars run around..
maybe the brits..
the down under supercar v8's are not as stock as one would think.. and are all done after hitting one tire stop..
if you don't like nascar racing,, that fine.. but the lame reason of they are not stock cars. is just that LAME...
half those that post they don't like the racing haven't been to a live race.. where you can watch the leaders if you want or the mid pack on back that are racing every lap..

pretty bad to be a past champion and no one wants to sponsor him or hire him.
