Finally Bristol this weekend love this track should be a good race. I did the Richard Petty driving experince a few years ago that was a blast If I ever do it again I will go to Bristol,Had a buddy that raced a Bush car there years ago he said every lap was a blast.

Ok where is everyone at been kinda quiet around hear, So had to move some furniture yesterday and you guessed it right just as the race was coming on. So did Bush run away with it,I am assuming he will today hope it's a good race and if Bush wins that's ok as long as he really has to work for it Last week we where all talking about the tracks we missed the one's they shut down,did anyone bring this one up Rockingham, Talk to ya'll later on oh yea not moving nothing today Ya'll have fun it's Bristol baby,where do they go next week

yes i miss rockingham also, always was the 2nd race of the season. my favorite was 1996 when bobby hamilton driving pettys STP 43 bumped earnhardt for the lead in turn 4. then the next lap around in turn 4 bobby hamilton tapped the wall, lol. then earnhardt went on to win the race with a little bit of that petty blue scuffed on the right front. and 1994 when earnhardt clinched the title in the fall race with around 18 laps to go holding off rick mast for the win.

Finished working on my rumble seat panels now its time to go racing on FOX. Last time I visited my daughter in NC we drove right by the sign to Bristol speedway. I'll get there someday. SC

I came in from the yard and sat down for a 5 minute break with a coffee. Clicked on the tube and did a bit of channel surfing. Stopped and watched two laps of 40 mph demo derby at Bristol and then hit the "next channel" button. If I wanna watch THAT kind of racing there is a figure 8 track not too far away. Did any cars survive long enuff to actually win? Did anyone get up to 50 mph?

I enjoyed it for the most part. Corner speeds were in the high 90/low 100 mph range. Any time you put 43 stock cars w/800 hp on a 1/2 mile concrete 'clip, there's gonna be hurt feelings. And bent sheetmetal. I'd rather watch 10 Bristols than one "big one" at the beach or Talladega.

I'm the opposite there. If they're not running speeds over 180, then I'll just go get busy doing other things instead of watching. Each to his own

I used to go to bristol,charlotte,daytona and richmond every year. From the looks of the stands today I am not the only one that has lost interest in nascar.
Lets see
No bumping
Over priced tickets
Over priced food
Hotel rates are nuts for a race weekend
Too many whiny drivers
Mystery caution flags
And don't get me started on Danica or Toyota's
Yep, I am just a grumpy old guy that likes racing the way it was in the 70's

the hotels are a big deal breaker.. most want 2 or 3 day min. we looked at bristol, as this week end is our wedding anv.. but the hotels wanted a 3 day min.. thats why the tracks empty..(when interview burton (#31) said the hotels are killing the fans ability to come out for the races as they just don't have 5-600 bucks to blow on a hotel stay..

and yes I miss BIG E.. nicest guy off the track.. but on it.. nope.. he was a racer... more should be like that..

hoping to get to the winston (what they call the allstar race now) and then the night race the next w-end.. if the hotel rates are aval for one night both times.. or I can camp..

Hey guy's I miss Sr. to dude and lets see I miss Cale,Bobby,Darrel,Buddy,Davey,Richmond, don't forget J.D.What about Rudd,Rusty,Donnie Allison. When I guess I was a big fan back in the day,every year I went to Charlotte,Wilksbough,Rockingham,Bristol,Dalington, Martinsville,and for about four or five years I went to both races can''t do that anymoreAnd on Mondays at work racing was the topic till lunch everyone talking junk. Oh well until next week.
