Talking Nedded help 1978 camaro

I need to know what engines for what yr. ect. will fit my 1978 camaro. It has a 305 in it now but i want a bigger engine so can i please have some tips tjanks!

You can shoehorn many GM engines in your Camaro, just about any small block chevy from 58 to present, you can easily fit other engines from Pontiac, Buick, Olds or even Cadillacs in there.
The big block chevy will go easily also. It's a Camaro, so I can guarantee you it's been done before. Pick your power, and install.
If you have a 305 now, the simplest deal would be a 350. Just swap brackets and engines, and there you are.

So i can get a 350 in it but what years would be able to fit in it i really appreciate you help!!

Stick with a 69-86 carbureted engines, and everything should be pretty much the same, some of the 87 and later fuel injected engines have some differences, like a one piece rear main seal, no mechanical fuel pump, ect.
There's a cazillion of the old carbureted 350s out there, or you could buy one of the popular crate engines from various suppliers (including GM) so the sky's the limit.

I had a 74 camero that had a 396 in, the body is still about the same, I think. Anything is possible if your willing to take the time to do it. This car was street legal

Where in the world would i find a engine for cheap anyone have a website or anything this is my first car and i need a engine please help thanks!
