Hey, anyone have or know how to get ahold of a title. I need a title for a 1937 ford not particular on model??

I saw one advertised on Ebay a while back, I think Ebay may have shut it down.

If you need a title go to your DMV and follow their directions on obtaining one. Anything else is either illegal or borders on it.

Several states do not recognize this method of obtaining a title. Ohio comes to mind right off since I used to live there and they won't accept "bills of sale" from the states where the shyster "title" companies operate. I believe Alabama, New Hampshire and one or two others fall in that category. Just a friendly warning. The only above board way to get a title is to go through your state's DMV. Each state is different but they all have procedures which will allow you to do it legally and without bending the law in the process.

My main problem is that my frame is a 39 and a glass 37 body. I could go to the DMV with my frame number and do a title search but it will come back as a 39, I would really like a 37 title and not a 2006 title not to mention all the hoops and extras I will have to add to the car to get it licensed.

i have a couple of clients in Ohio. a bill of sale alone may not be adequate BUT the seller's (me) registration of the vehicle combined with a notarized bill of sale to the buyer (you) does work. i register the clients vehicle in my name then resell to my client. have had no trouble in IL, MO, OH, NY, KY, TN, FL, TX, KS so far. i only charge to cover my cost of the registration and time and money back if your state won't accept both documents.

You can call International Title Service in Las Vegas and they can send u the paperwork to get title, reg, and tags for 150.00
or you can log on to: http://www.its-titles.com and you will get all the info you need to do it. Hope this helps
