need advice

hey i got an 81 firebird and im strapped for cash. i want to do a custom interior and i was thinkin on the rear side pannels i might sand, prime and then bed line em to put some on color and reinforce em a bit. they are all brittle and they scape up easy. when i do the door panels i was thinkin about using this spray foam i seen people use for dashes. plus i need a new column bad and i cant find much on whats compatible. ive done lots of body work and lots of fiber glass but this is my first interior job. any input would be greatly appreciated... thanks

The spray on bedliner stuff works if you have a solid surface under it, but it is not going to give you a custom interior. This is something you would use if you have a really hard shape to cover. Here's a thread of the bedliner being used on a fiberglass headliner:CLICK HERE I checked this link, and it doesn't work. Search for fiberglass headliner, and look for a thread by Centerline entitled "fiberglass headliner is done".

thanks i wasnt sure about it or not i might use the rear panels just as a base for the fiberglass but im not sure. i still need to design the door panels the rear ones are the only ones that i might leave the same. im mainly focusing on the doors dash and center console

i just pulled off the inner door handles and pulled off the rubber so i could modify those and they look better without the rubber on em. im gonna cut down the back end wrap em and fiber glass em. thats if i decide to keep em and not just build the handles into the panel itself
