Need advice on Edlebrock 600 cfm problem

Hi. got a minor problem on my Edle 600. When I go around a left hand corner at an intersection the carb seems to cut out then it picks back up when I straighten out. I dumped a bunch of drygas in the tank thinking I might have water in the float bowl. It didn't seem to help. I haven't got around to pulling the top yet, thought maybe someone might have some ideas to mull over first.

Thanks
Moon

Carb

I would say the float level is set to high, but you need to remove the top to set/check it..

float level

Definitely check the float level. My carb would do the same thing (die out). I would hammer the gas and then slow down rapidly and the gas was overflowing in the carb. Very easy fix. Let me know if you need the specs for the float level, I can find my instruction manual.

Also check your fuel pressure. When I was running a 1406 it needed a steady 6 PSI. Once it was setup for my car it ran consistently good all the time. I swaped it out for a Jet Quadrajet Stage 2 carb that also needs 6 PSI fuel pressure. Good luck
