Need advice on gauges and wiring

Soon to foray into new territory. For the first time ever, I'm putting an LT1/4L60E in a build. I know just enough to know I don't know anything.
When I buy gauges, what do I have to look for? 1/ do I need an electronic speedo to go with the 4l60e? 2/ What kind/where do you hook up the tach on an lt1? 3/ using an in tank 94 camaro fuel pump and sender - how do I match the gauge? 4/ Likewise - sender for temp and oil pressure?
Any recommendations on a gauge set that works with this setup?

Along the same lines - What do I need to look for in a wiring harness to be sure I have proper fuel pump/electric fan/ecm hook ups?

This is a driver, not a show car, but I don't want to buy junk.

Start looking at painless wiring. They have kits for everything. Good luck

1- You will need an electronic speedo. The gauge kits like VDO for example, sell the gauges and the matching sender. VDO sells a programmable speedo that can be connected to the PCM. Just specify the transmission you are using when you order the gauges.
2- There should be a tach output on the PCM. Again specify the make, model and year of the PCM.
3- You may be able to order the fuel gauge to match the existing sender. Or it may be necessary to change the sender. VDO uses a universal sender meaning it can be adjusted to fit any tank size but the resistance range is fixed 10 ohms empty to 180 ohms full.
4- The oil pressure and temperature senders come with the gauge sets.
The harness from the donor car can be used. If that isn't possible you will need an aftermarket wiring kit.
Check out the first stickey post on this forum for wiring harness info.
