You buy some SEM silver flexible coating and if it isn't shiny enough you also add some high gloss clear. There are two Color Coat aerosols that will work for you, one is 15083 silver, and the other is 15253 titanium metallic. The titanium is a little darker than the silver, but it is shinier.

Perhaps I am lacking the know how on masking it off - especially the decorative dash trim.

Is there a way to Tape It OFF or block it off where just the top edge is silver and the sides are still black?

I tried to make a stamp out of a cotton paper to evenly apply the paint
but it needed to be such a thin layer of paint on the stamp so that it would be a crisper line and didn't slop down the sides that the silver paint looked blotchy like a poorly mixed metallic would look.
The end result wasn't that sharp of an edge ...

I hope I am explaining this correctly ...

Why don't you try posting that question in the Body-Exterior forum. I'm sure someone there will have a solution for you. Shine restores 'Vettes for a living, I'm sure he can help you.
