Need an alternative to these valve seals QUICK please!!

Valve Stem Seals:
Im doing my SBC vortecs, Have everything except umbrella style seals...

They reccomend 86 Dodge daytona 2.2 turbo seals. Those are definatly not
readily available. What other model of vehicle might use these same style seals. They allow for more clearance than the stock posi-lock style seals, And in combination with my new springs I can get the extra bit of lift clearance needed to be safe with my comp cam.

So What do I need to ask for in the parts store that will be
more likely in stock. Thanks for any quick replies, Need to get
it today if at all possible.

Fel-Pro makes a set of umbrella seals specifically for the small block chevy, my local Autozone had them in stock back when they carried Fel-Pro, but I did gointhere with the part number. Might take a trip to a real parts store with some catalogs and someone willing to look thru them.

If you get stuck and can't find anything but the stock vortec seal, you can grind down the bottom of the spring retainer on a bench grinder to get some more clearance. The retainer is a pretty solid piece and as long as you don't take off a ton apparently it is OK to do this.
