need an answer fast--don't want to go to parts store

I'm in the process of splitting the wire from coil to ignition and putting in a hidden toggle switch. The wire I'm splitting is 14 ga---all I have is 16 and 12 ga----can I use the 12?

Yes you can use the heavier 12G wire.

Should have no problems with the 12. Not a huge difference between 12 and 14

You can always use a heavier wire. Just don't use a thinner one.

If you are installing a kill switch that is not the best way to do it
