need to change carb fuel application

I will be changing my car over to methanol in the winter to come to save money for fuel and to build serious hp. however I dont want to spend a $1000 on a new carb. so how hard is it to take a 4150 series 950 cfm holley or something comparable and convert it over to use methanol?

Its a lot of work, it isn't just a simple jet change. Boosters, metering blocks(emulsion wells are different, and have different siphon breaks), air bleeds and fuel restricters for idle feed and power valve channels all need to be changed. Accelerator pump diaphrams and gaskets/o-rings need to be alky compatable, needle and seats need to be alky versions, pump shooter size needs to be increased. By the time you are done you are close to 85% or more in cost of the dedicated alky carb, plus you need the knowledge to do it, and special equipment to change the boosters.
