Thank you all for your help! Ok, I have my primer gun and I have my clear coat gun. What is a good gun for spraying metallic base? My budget is getting lower so I would like to spend $100 or less if that is possible! I want a good one though, I don't want to mess up a paint job because I chose a poor gun! I would like an HVLP, but if a compliant gun is better then which one? I have looked at the Astro EVO, but thats it! What do you folks suggest?
Just about any gun will spray metallic, and how well depends on the operator. The color I am currently using has a large amount of metallic in it and my Harbor Freight 43430 gun is doing a superb job at it. Check my photo album and the thread "34 progress" for pics.
Metal flake is different monster altogether however.
