If you buy aluminum oval port heads,mild hydraulic roller cam,victor junior oval port intake,850 Holley,Im sure that would work.
now 500 - 600 is a big range,pick a number or performance goal,IE:mid 11s in a 77 Camaro with auto weighing 3800 pounds with driver and we can nail a formula

AFR,265 cc oval port heads ( or equal)
with previously mentioned parts= tire shredder

11s would be sweet it's a 71 gmc 1500 auto not sure of weight But I'd like 11s or better but I'd also like to be able to drive it around town.

quick translation for cam specs
600 lift
hydraulic roller( use a solid roller if you rev higher)
108 intake center line
112 lobe separation angle
229 intake duration at .050
235 exhaust duration at .050
power band from 2-6000 RPM red line
compatible with 10:1 CR

ya I heard Canada has 94 octane fuel at chevron,with zero methanol
