Cool Need help

I was wondering how hard or even how possible would it to move my underaxle leafsprings on my 77 firebird to be overaxle leaf spring ...I need more clearence under the car for the exhaust system.....if anyone else has ideas please help...anything helps..or even to correct me if I am explaining this totally wrong.

assuming you ARE serious, get some spring pads,weld 'em on(with the pinion angle set CORRECTLY)use the u-bolts+plates off a 70ish chevy PU and fab up some shock mounts.


i'm still gonna yak, though....

why is it so bad ...do you have any other opinions or ideas to help me out...would it be simple enough to just get larger tires or airshocks or something in that matter..
