Cars of that close age, had all sorts of weird systems advertized as anti=theft devices. Ford was different with their Pop-Out ign & armored cable, Mopar had a bundle of fake wires going to the switch to make it hard to hotwire.
...and chevy? I don't know that system If it's a nice car worth keeping stock, can you get a repro?or just use common sense if you wire in a modern one; meaning the switch controls the + coil wire, and you'd need a new wire from points to the coil. |
