need help with 9inch ford disc brake conversion

Ok so I have a 94 s10 v8 with ford nine inch that currently has junk (drum) brakes was told on another site that disc brake componits from a 8.8 from 94 and newer explorer and mountainer were a direct bolt on so finding 1 in my area is hard to say the least and if u do they wouldnt sell parts only whole axel but I can bye parts from 8.8 out of gran markie and other full size cars my question is are they the same or does anybody know for sure or is there another set up you guys know about thanks so much for anyones help i am ready to race but need brakes on a budget
