I get asked about 10 times a day at work "can i install these parts my self?"
My answer is "it depends on how much you have done before, if you have the tools to do it, and mostly IS IT GOING TO BE SAFE. When i was 16 in shop class getting ready to paint my truck i was about 6 hours from painting it when it rolled back and bent the driver door into the front fender. My teacher just laughed and said "metal is only metal, it can all be fixed". So saying that if you screw up o well. do it again. If you screw that up, do it again. It wont take long to know what is right and what is wrong. Now if you were working on a numbers matching restoration, then i would say hold off until you do another car but if it is going to be a custom car, have fun.
Now this is just my opinion and others may thing i am wrong but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
