need help with blower pistons

i have a 383 block, well 95-2000 1 peice rear 4 bolt main that has been machined and clearenced. with a 671 wieand
crank:Crankshaft, 1-Piece Seal, External Balance, Cast Steel, 3.750 Stroke, 5.700 Rod
rods:Connecting Rods, 4340, I-Beam, Cap Screw, 12-Point, 5.700 in
the heads are goin to be either 64 or 68 cc
there are 3 pistons i have been looking at:
UEM-KB735030-8 Pistons, Forged, Dish Top, 4.030 in. Bore, 1/16 in., 1/16 in., 3/16 in. Ring Grooves,
UEM-9926030-8 Pistons, Forged, Dish Top, 4.030 in. Bore, 5/64 in., 5/64 in., 3/16 in. Ring Grooves
SRP-148750 Pistons, Forged, Dish Top, 4.030 in. Bore, 1/16 in., 1/16 in., 3/16 in. Ring Grooves

so the real difference is that the 2 keith blacks are an 18 cc dish and the srp is a 24 cc dish the one keith and the srp both use a 1/16 ring but the cheapest keith uses a 5/64

so is it better to have a thicker ring when in a blower motor>?
which is the best choice

does anyone know if it is better to have thicker pistons rings with a blower motor or not? is there any drawbacks or advantages?

malibu68,

If you were going to race this engine then the smaller ring would weigh a little less so you might get a few more RPM's. I think the smaller rings would cause less friction but again in a street engine I do not think you would be able to feel the difference.

I'd run the thicker rings in a blower motor for a better seal at the expense of a little more friction.
