Need help with Brakes
I have a 48 Ford that has a Mustang II front end with disk brales. It has a Granada rear end with drum brakes. I have a under floorboard power break mastercylender for a corvette. I have 2 check valves and a ajustable valve for the back brakes. I dont think I have any air left in my lines, My check valves seem to work and are in proper position. I cant find any leaks, I seem to have good vacumn to the booster. I have a solid peddle, but the brakes will not hardly stop. I have tried 3 new mastercylenders, and 3 new boosters. Sometime you can get enough brakes to slide and go bach a day or so later and It want hardly stop again. I have spent months working on these brakes. Can anyone help.

Corvette MC? You do know that Corvettes came with 4 wheel DISK brakes right?
And you have drum brakes on the rear. Taint gonna work. Get a MC that is designed to use drum /disk and make sure you have the right MC bore diameter for the front disks. This will take some research, or maybe a call to Speedway's tech line |
