As you know, 46-48 Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Buick, etc... are still pre-war design... and basically the same. I did a front Subframe for my 47 Oldsmobile model 76. I put text with the photos so you can follow along.

The subframe that fits perfect.... 79-82 old cutlass, Chevy Malibu, etc. The frames are perfect and when they blend together, you can't tell where one ends and another begins. They sell various height spindles, brakes, rotors, pads, ball joints, etc that is inexpensive and can be found anywhere.

Take a look and judge for yourself.

best of luck,

~Joe

hot389, any pics of the process? I'm debating on which way to update the existing IFS on my '41. Either find arms from a '58 or go with a clip?
