Need help with coil springs
Hi everybody, i have a 74 nova ss. My front coil springs are sagging , i want to lift the front back up to the regular height it should b. i went to autozone to buy coil springs, they have have a option of with a/c or without. Wich should i get the with a/c or without? I just want the front to b up like it normally should. My brother has a 70 nova with new springs in front and it sits nice, and my friend has a 71 pontiac ventura that also sits nice up front. Just wanted to know what should i get, i also have a small block like they do. Thanks everybody

First question, do you have A/C or not...Get the replacement springs that recommended by the manufacturer for your car...I did a 72 Nova 4 years ago and the new after market springs (AC Delco) that we installed gave me a higher than factory ride height....I replaced them with Moog springs and all was well...This is a recount of what happened to me in the past...I am not suggesting that Moog is the only way to go, just do your homework before purchasing...I guess that's what your doing by posting here.

Stick with the Non A/C spring to ensure proper ride height, you'll be happier in the long run...I'm assuming that the drive train is stock, ie. engine?

Ask your brother which springs he used. Probably the non A\C springs are the way to go. I bought an el Camino one time, it sat way too high. Probably A/C springs in it. I ended up cutting 1/2 coil out of them.

Good call, my buddy poncho 62 and I would not steer you wrong, with the information you just listed...Non A/C springs and all your camping experiences will be happy.
