trying to find paint for our 1940 chevy pickup we want to do a black and silver paint job (see picture). what I am looking for is a black with some metallic in it so i looks good next to the silver but i think i need a black that already has the metallic in it as the bed and fenders will not be painted at the same time as the rest of the truck. Ive look at hok website but i believe the metallic has to be mixed in with the paint... anyone know of a nice black with metallic already in it, codes and/or link to samples would be awesome

One thing to remember when making or wanting a metallic black is the more metallic you add the more grey the black becomes and the finer the metallic the more grey it becomes....so if your looking for a black metallic, use the coursest metallic available and as little as possible.
As far as flames...I would need to see what you have in mind before I could offer an opinion...are the flames on the metallic black or silver?

I can't speak for the paint, but I think red pinstripes would look better than black

awesome ... the flames are the silver color just like the attached photo no shading or highlights in it not sure if we are gonna just pinstripe the edges of the overlaps of the flames in black or pinstripe the entire edge where the black and silver meet with a red pinstripe would also like some opinions on that... here is the pic of the truck that we are mimicking the paint job on just changing the colors
