They are just two straps of metal coming out, on my 35 Terraplane I had to heat and bend the hinges a little to lift the door up. If the door sticks out that much on the back corner, the door could be twisted, you can untwist them but it takes a lot of work, and I'm not sure that's the problem.
The hinges might just be shot, or you could get hidden hinges for it, but if the door is in fact twisted they won't fix your problem. Can you move your door up and down if you grab it in the back bottom corner?
