I have a 33 ford coupe (fiberglass), and a rootlieb hood (metal). I'm trying to fit the hood and hood sides, but it seems that the radiator is not allowing the grille shell to push back far enough to meet the hood top. I have the radiator as far back as possible but I'm still way off. I've tried to lean the radiator back, but the lower hose hits the crossmember. Any suggestions?
I can't help you directly, but maybe send you to another site that may be able to guide you some. Over on the Project 33 website (www.project33.com) Scooter (car owner) detailed the assembly of a 33. From what I remember, he had several articles on fitting the hood. He has the car assembly broken down into Chassis, Body, etc so its fairly easy to navigate. If all else fails, post on his site - now that his car is done, he may be able to help.
Good Luck,
Mike.
