need help getting rid of air conditioning on a 77 Trans am

I would like to do away with the air conditioning on my 77 Trans am. Will a standard heater box from a 77 firebird bolt on in place of the air conditioning suitcase? What else will I have to change in order to go from air conditioning to a standard heater setup? Any help would be appreciated.
