Hi,
I bought a 1963 Chevy SWB p/u. I am tryin to figure out if it's a 350, 327 or what? What I am almost positive of, is that it's not the original 283. The little help I got from a mechanic is thats its a 327 made in 67 or 68. But, he determined that from the fuel pump. I have been searching the internet on trying to find the serial number that is on the engine, but no luck so far. The engine serial number starts out with C5U. I could find nothing anywhere with the first the characters C5U. If anyone could help me out with any type of info, I would appreciate it. Thanks for the reply. I got the C5U number off the block on the passenger side next to the water pump. I thought this was the serial number? Didn't know there were a second set of numbers on the back of teh block. I willl check it out tommorrow. Thanks again.
