need help with my 305

i took off the tbi and put a carb on it that turned out to be junk its an old holley carb i found on craigs list gonna just buy a brand new one.(i didnt want the computer any more)i need help rewireing the fuel pump wires i cut off all the wires from the harness i didnt need and cut the fuel one by mistake whats an easy way to rewire it i cut them to close to solder them back on

92's probably too new of a car to dump the computer. everything on that car is going to be controlled by the computer.

on a 92 the only thing controlled by the computer should be the engine and torque converter lockup

It sounds like you're using the tbi fuel pump with the carb. That pump will supply way too much fuel pressure to the carb and will cause it to suck. You need to get a pressure regulator or a different fuel pump to make it work. After doing this, if the carb still isn't performing to its full potential i would suggest taking it apart and cleaning it up and rebuilding it if necessary, it will be much less expensive than buying a new one.
