Need Help With My Floor Jack

Hi All,

I have a floor jack that I bought at a garage sale a while ago. It's a large 5 ton model that I was told came from Fisher Body here in Detroit. It's a two stage pump, foot pump for quick lift and the handle for the detail lift. The only issue is it leaks under pressure. I took it completly apart today in preperation to rebuild the cylinder. Big sucker. Anyway, I've been looking for any information online about it and can't find a thing. I'm hoping someone may have a line on a website that would have any data on it. If all else fails I'll take it to a shop around here (as soon as I find one) to see if they have any idea.

Here is the data I was able to find on it. There is no manufacture name on the tag, only a Manufacture number (64)

Model: YM-500M
Capacity: 5 Ton
Mfg: 64
Date of Mfg: 7/77

Thanks Cullencombs!

That looks just like my jack. So, now I know the manufacture. I just need to find out where I can by replacement parts for a Yasui jack. I have already seen posts that they are still in business.

Thanks again!

There's a guy on ebay that sells hyd. jack rebuild kits, really not more than a couple of o-rings and seals but it's worth a try. He didn't have the parts for my old orange Allied jack, I tried a place in town and the cost was way more than a new 3.5 ton Arcan at Costco. Just type in "hydraulic jack repair" and you should find him.

On the left hand side of that page there is a contact button. I would try to email them, almost always the manufacture will offer the cheapest and best quality rebuild kits.

Contacted the "guy on Ebay". He got back with me fast. Unfortunatly he does not have a kit available for my model.

I also heard back from Ansontools. The stated they are in the process of getting a quote for me. They are in Hong Kong, so, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they can provide the kit and it's economical!
