need help pricing a sunroof

I have a complete power sun(moon?) roof for a 2004
Tahoe collecting dust in my shop.

A co-worker wants to buy it and have it fit into one of his streetrods..

What I wonder is what is a fair value for it?

I think the key words are "collecting dust". I say give it to him for a REAL good price or nothing and get it out of your life.

Wife drives a 2004 Tahoe with a sunroof, what will the odds be if i give it away that hers will break and cost me $$ to fix LOL.

I'd say very good, at least that would be my experience LOL . We also own a 2004 Tahoe, but it does not have a sunroof.

Listen, I have an old saying that I repeat when I come across something in my garage like that.

"You know you will need this a week after you throw it away, so you might as well throw it away right now and need it next week than to save it for ten years, throw it away and need it a week later"

Not very eloquent or beautifully said, but I think you get the point.

You can't anticipate something like that. You can save tires, you can save oil filters, you KNOW you will need them someday. But to save a sun roof or a fender in anticipation that you will whack a pole in a parking garage is just plan goofy.

Dump it, see that guy with a smile on his face and play the lotto that you will never need it. Like winning the $Millions, I doubt you ever will.

Have him to tell you what hes willing to give...... I know, I know, we all hate that line but the only way this works is you take what hes willing to offer.

In other words if he offers 100.00 don't dicker just take what he offers

I assume hes a co-worker and a friend the deal you make today may come back in your favor some time.
