Post need help quick

ok a friend of mine has a 91 isuzu rodeo with a v-6 in it his son drove it down to the creek playin in it and it quit running he said it just shut off like you turned off the key well they tried to pull start it cause it is a standard and it still did nothin but lock up the tires.....anyway my friend thought the motor was locked up so he rebuilt the motor and guess what still nothin when he tried to start it he says it is geting gas when you first turn on the key it shoots gas to the throtle body but it wont go through the injectors after that one burst of fuel it dont start pumping again til you crank it a while and it still wont start he put in a new computer and still nothing it does the same thing so does anyone know what this might be someone told him it might be a cold start sensor or the module in the dist. but does anyone know if it might be one of these things or something else thank for the help and sorry this post is so long just wanted you to know whats goin on thanks again

Just a long shot , has it got pressure at the fuel rail and are the injectors actually firing ?
The rail should be at a consistant pressure if your only getting a burst every now and then Id be looking at the fuel system ie pump etc

Pull an injector out and see if it is spitting.

well guys thanks for the help but its a throtle body injection i think is what they call it it looks like a carb. but it has 2 injectors in the top of it and there is no gas goin through the injectors at all it is geting fuel to the throtle body well now and then anyway lol but it never goes through the injectors i wouldnt think that both the injectors went out at the same time with no warning but anything is possible but even if you dump gas in the throttle body it still does nothin so any more suggestions thanks again

check the fuel pump relay, It may have been
filled with water...

u need to find out the specs on fuel presure for that suv, u might have fuel but not e-nuff presure, i see it all the time
a vehicle with a min 50lbs on the rack wont even fire with less than 30lbs
to check the presure is quite simple, just before the tbi ther should be a screw inn fitting for the gauge located somewher on the fue supply line

hey guys thanks again we figured it out he didnt have some wires hooked up and the module in the dist. was bad thanks again for the help guys
