Need help...ran out of clear hardner
So I was spraying some things tonight and I though I had 2 quarts of hardner for my clear and turns out I only had 1. After I got done spraying my first coat of clear I went to mix up some more and low and behold, no hardner. I can't get to the parts store until around 7:30am tomorrow morning (it's 2:30am right now). The clear hasn't layed out too well yet, and I'm worried that by the time I get some more hardner that the next coats won't flow into the first and I'm gonna have some issues with orange peal and perhaps delamination. Should I scuff up my first coat with a grey pad or something and then shoot the next ones?
Thanks, Jordan |
The guy at the paint shop said that I should be fine and I went ahead and sprayed 2 more coats on top and it looks like things worked fine.

hopefully everything works out fine but what i want to know is how much sleep you actually got last night? :welcome:

You WILL be fine, I saw some tests where clear adhered just fine
as long as it was clean, like your situation. It's not something the paint people want to advertise though. :pimp: |
