need help sanding closed cell foam.

I have 1/4" closed cell foam (landau foam). What do you guys use to sand this when finishing the edges?

Thanks,
Brian

A die grinder with a 36 grit disc works well. I've shaped seat foam this way. For rougher bulk shaping, an electric meat knife is good, but for edge cleanup it probably isn't the best choice.

If you're scuffing before gluing or finishing edges, use Scotch Brite industrial pads. They come in different degrees of coarseness and are color coded. From heaviest to lightest they are tan, gray, maroon, light gray, and white. The maroon is a general purpose pad that should work fine for you.
