need help setting up rear suspension

Hey guys I'm trying to set up the suspension on my 72 nova pro street it's a Gm12 bolt with ladder bars and coil overs...just confused about a few things first is that with the drive shaft where the rear is set up now the drive shaft doesn't have a lot of up and down room for suspension travel maybe about an inch and a half how much should I have ? so what I did was change the holes on the coil over bracket
Second is that with the suspension fully relaxed the panhard bar pulls the rear end over to the passenger side is that normal? If not how can I fix it is there a better system to center the rear axle? Thanks in advance gys

Panhard bar should be adjustable and set so when sitting at ride height (or on the ground) rear is centered, driveshaft a little close,I like to see about 3" between tunnel and shaft.

I've tubbed close to I believe 15 cars in my shop, usually on a Nova,or Camaro, the tunnel is cut out and floor replaced up to about where the rear seat use to begin,if you are trying to keep the back seat, and do a full tub, you"ll have tunnel problems, only other choice is raise the car up higher.

You mentioned the driveshaft clearance just behind the transmission (where it won't be moving up and down much). If the rear suspension was fully compressed, and onto the bumpstops, is there still clearance above the driveshaft?

It's hard to say what the clearances are with the suspension fully compressed but the floor is gone and replaced up to the back of the front seats no back seat
