need help to start

hi like your site good work .....

i wont to do a new inside for my 1987 4x4 gmc .

to do door panel ...and the dash ..and the floor and roof ....

i wont to put flames in the doors on the roof and dash

under the finish stuff ill put but dont no what to use (vinyle or leather ....for the dash and door panel)

and how is that rod foam called in french

im in canada quebec the stuff here is allot of money..

asking u what i should do.. think your the guy for me lol.

and keep this site working helps allot of people to save money kool ..

hope to have good news for me thx and happy new years ..

Hi and welcome,
I would use some vinyl for the dash and the door panels, for the roof u could use vinyl or leather it's your choice. Little suggestion maybe u could order your stuff from an american dealer so it's less expensive. BTW you'll need 3M trim adhesive.

thx for info wasup but dont got to glue the flames on the dash and then spray can glue or something like that ... what i wont to know is what do i use for the flames and what do i use for glueing the vinye on the door... and the rod foam do i got to cut it out your they sell it all made ... how do i cut it to have nice flames

Use this adhesive


Use closed cell foam rubber (available from upholstry suppliers). Here is a photo of 1/8" thick foam under my vinyl upholstery. Use it for patterns too.


Here is how I used 1/4" closed cell foam to make pleats. Glue the foam down, carve your desing, then glue on the upholstery.


You can see the entire article on how I used this stuff to make my panels @ my journal.
