using the caster/camber bubble gauge

Ok here go's
The gauge has three bubbles center adjustable for caster
Tthe outer bubbles are fixed solid for camber
and one small outer for leveling front/back.
After mounting the magnetic bubble gauge on the hub face,
Zero the outside bubble
Read the camber bubbles
If positive camber bubble gauge reads 0 then read negitive camber bubble gauge
If negative camber bubble gauge reads0then read the positive camber bubble gauge

With the gauge mounted on the hub
turn left front wheel to right @15/20 degrees
zero the outer bubble
Adjust the caster bubble to zero
turn left front wheel rear word past center all the way to @15/20 degrees
Zero the outer bubble
Read the degrees caster
(how come it reads on the neg caster bubble say 3 degrees)

When at the same time using another tool designed to read off the ball joint centers reads 3 degrees pos

But if i reverse the procedure
Left front wheel turned left
The gauge will read in the positive side of the caster bubble
This is where i need some help in clearing up whats going on here.
