Need Hurst shift lever #3712
I am looking for a replacement Hurst shift lever for my Muncie 4 speed. Lever is approximately 10-1/2" long and #3712 I believe. The chrome on mine is sub par and I would like to replace with one in better condition. Threads need to be 3/8 - 16 to work with my shifter ball. Anyone have one or idea's to rework the one I have now (other than re-chrome which is $150 min. plus shipping)?

Ehh JEGS Performance Products 61551 JEGS Billet Aluminum Shifter Handles ? Similar or no?

How about wire wheel the chrome off and polishing it?

Think that would work? Good idea. I also thought about sandblasting and powder coating black...not sure how black would look? What do you think?

Black would look clean but more suited for a rat rod or a truck in my opinion.

Try EvilBay, place ad on Craigs list or go to a swap meet in your area.

If you're feeling thrifty, wire wheel it and polish it; then spray with a clear coat.
You'll have to touch it up every couple years. If you want it plated; buff it out extremely well and ask a chrome shop about their nickel plating. It should be cheaper. Although copper would look cool if you put a clear over it, or a good coat of wax
