But then on the other hand, a title is a title, and if this bunch of car experts can't ID it, then some clerk at DMV is liable not to know any better either.

lil more...this is on the drivers side rear frame rail,no idea what it is;pass floor/frame again;hand brake;these two show the headlights do mount to the fenders, not the grill shell.

That's it. another shot of the mystery part, rear drivers side frame rail;the cowl;took this one so the cowl and hood supports could be seen together;and finally, the front of the frame as it goes under the cab, notice how it comes together in sort of an "x"fashion, might matter, might not.

I cant seem to post a picture here, but i posted a picture of a Pontiac sedan cut down to a touring car on Photo Gallery yesterday, and it has fender flashes much like your mystery car... It has only two, not three, but there you are..
and it had suicide doors too. They looked original. |

None of the new pics have helped me find your car origin. I found this pic in this thread.
Cache Valley (Utah) Cruise-in photos Perhaps a PM to the poster would help you out. Maybe he knows what year and make that hearse is. |

I read every post of this thread for the first time today and as i got towards the end of the thread i was getting excited hoping someone ID'd and then... nothing. How disappointing!
BUT, i do hope you ID this car. Now you've got me excited to find out what it is. Btw, you have also once again inspired me to go old car hunting. I seem to have this crazy natural instinct for finding old cars. Something tells me to turn down a certain street or go to a certain town and take a specific route and i always seem to run into some old cars. My travels down along the backwaters of the Mississippi led me to some amazing old cars in fields, but this was before i had a digital camera so i couldn't get any pictures.
