Need ID help Pontiac engine

Stamp on front of passenger side reads C263966 and has YA stamped under it. Any idia what engine this is?

Nope. And that number will not help figure it out.That is more of a secondary code/marking.
You want the casting number off the passenger side rear of the block.
Should be 7 digits.
After that then the date code next to the dizzy hole will pin down the date of manufacture.Its next to the D-N mark for day shift night shift.
Wallace racing website can break it down for you.
