Post NEED INFO 55 chevy v8 Side motor mounts

Trying to find info on purchasing after market SIDE motor mounts for 55 chevy car. I will be running a 355 (450hp) with turbo 400. Any info on this installation would be greatly helpful. Also looking for info on the turbo 400 installation. I was told that when one runs a turbo in a 55 chevy one needs to side mount the engine to equalize the weight out....correct???? THANKS DY

Wink

my dad has a 54 chevy and just put a big block in it. you've got to use pieces of box steel cut in half to make a 90 degree angle then drill your bolt holes accordingly. i hope this helps you

I would advise boxing the frame from the front cross memeber back toward the frame 18 to 24 inches. This will strengthen the frame against the additional torque.
