Need input on shipping choices

I will be putting two DC motors/gear boxes from a powered wheelchair on Ebay. They weigh about 19lbs each. I would like some ideas about reasonable shipping choices. USPS is out of site for these.

Thanks
Vince

I haven't personally tried this, but I understand that Fastenal will ship Freight at a very reasonable rate (sounds crazy I know, but I've heard that you can just take it a Fastenal location?)-

Third Party Logistics (3PL) | Fastenal
Just called them the catch is that the receiving person would have to pick up the item at a Fastenal store.

Thanks

Alrighty then-since there hasn't been a ton of responses yet, how about this-there is a Company that one of the Associations that I belong to keeps pushing at me, and again *I've heard* that they are pretty reasonable-you might give these guys a try-

We ship a bunch every day, but use the usual (UPS, FedEx, Yellow, Conway, etc.)-

Been there done that and for me I am sticking to UPS for my shipping..The savings in trying to use others were not worth the headache for me..

ship all the time usps thru Ebay shipping. you will save a few bucks this way. If you bring it to the post office it is more then printing the label on line with ebay and pay thru paypal.

Thanks, that is the ticket. I have never printed a shipping label through Ebay. I just did a preliminary and the FedEx price was $21.95

Thanks I appreciate it

I have to say, it really depends on the value of the item for me. When it comes to something over $40-50 something like that, it's going UPS, that is all there is to it.

Remember something when you ship USPS you must have an invoice showing the value of the item to get paid for it if it gets lost. So if you send some 427 Tripower set up USPS to a friend and don't have an invoice for actual value you are going to have one hell of a time getting what it's worth, IF you can.

They will not reimburse shipping if it gets there at all, I don't believe. I forget the exact conditions on this.

UPS will pay you what you wrote for the value, no questions asked. I have had two or three claims, they paid me no questions asked, shipping cost, the whole deal. Two were for something completely lost, the other was for damage. At USPS it is a HASSLE to say the least to get anything from them, so that is where I look at, what is the item worth?

Brian

My Ebay listing information states that the item is insured for only the winning bid price. I always get delivery confirmation and I wait until the item has been delivered and positive feedback has been received before spending the money in my PayPal account.
