need to know if a 350 will hook up in a 2001 chevy with a v6 5speed trans
a friend of mine wants to sell his truck and if i knew for sure that a 350 would fit in it. it has a v6 4.3 vortec with a 5speed, ineed to know if it will bolt up to the 5speed. i would be alot more interested in buying it if it would, love that v8 power. i appreaciate any info. fred

Yes it will, A 4.3 is a 350 minus 2 cylinders. But the S-10 trans will not last long with the V8 torque. I beleive they still use the T-5 and even the strongest world class T-5 found in Mustangs are only rated to handle 335 Ft/Tq.

thanks for the info. the truck is a full size p.u. [1500] is that the same as the s 10 trans. thanks again for the info.
