Need Mopar Engine I.D. please !

I'm looking at a Cuda and the owner said that he ?thought? this engine was a 340. Can any of you identify it from this pic?
TIA,
Em

I cant visually see any difference between a 318, 340, or 360. Basically all the same externally. You really need to get a casting number off the block to be certain...with that I could tell you. Wish I could be more help.

of course, I doubt anyone would put a 318 into a Cuda...I'd wager its either a 340 or a 360. Is this car one you're looking to buy? Gotta love them Cuda's.

Cuda

WHAT???? That does sound too good to be true. BUT....even at that, even without numbers matching engine or other components...you could probably throw it up on ebay and sell it for more then you paid for it. Ask yourself, do I want this car? And if I dont, could I sell it for more then what I'm paying for it. Sounds like a good investment either way. HOWEVER...its easy to say when its someone elses money at stake. LOL

Yeah, my oldest son has also been looking for a project car/driver/classic muscle car for his son and him to work on together like he and I did on is first car. Guess what? they're on their way to look at the Cuda. Oh well, if I gotta let a good deal get by me, I'd rather lose it to my kids.

cuda

Hurry up...call the guy and act as a phone buyer and mess with your poor sons mind. No...just kidding. If they can get a great project to share thats awesome. I'm sure you'll be included in the project for your experience. 3 generation build...what could be better? I used to build the model T's with my dad, but he passed away last May...I miss the times we spent together in the garage. Embrace these moments my friend, as they do not last forever. God bless and best of luck to your son and your entire family. Keep us all posted.
