Need a new tranny for street strip truck.
I have a 1983 2wd 1500 chevy Silverado. 350 crate engine, I have upgraded the heads and cam to RHS pro action 180cc heads part number 12318-01. Lunati bracket master II cam, 230/230 292/292 480 lift. 750 edlebrock carb, and air gap intake. I plan on upgrading the rotating assembly in the near future. I have a stock TH350 tranny and 4.10 gears in the rear end. I have a B&M hole shot 3000 torque converter.
I want to buy a new tranny. I will be drag racing this truck most of the time but I will drive it on the street some on the weekends. I want a good tranny that will hold up under abuse and will perform well on the strip. I have been looking at the TCI super street fighter TH350. What brand of transmition do you guys recommend? Thanks, Larry.

There's plenty of trans shops out there but if I was having a special one built I would start with a T400.
