I know a guy who loves Fords but puts chevy engines in all of them I remember him telling me what he had to do with the oilpan issue on a Falcon but I didn't file the info away in the old noggin because I didn't figure I would ever need it.
Oh, and you really don't have to prove anything to us because the harder you try the more likely you are to prove something you really didn't intend to. And keep us posted on the transplant.

Yea good luck on the project, take some pics and get them uploaded, and if you dont want the ford turbo engine anymore you can ship it to me, ill put it to use

if i had the ford turbo engine, i would use it. sadly, it is only the regular 2.4. no turbo no nothin

Oh thought you said it was a turbo, guess not, oh yea i dont think they even came with turbos in 88, i think only the svo's ever did. I think its a 2.3L stock.

T-birds did in 88 and they also have a cool T-5 with a lower first gear than any other T5 trannys.

ya th 88' turbos were the turbo coupes, not the mustangs.

For the people asking about the rear sump chevy engine fitting into a ford chasis that requires a front sump.

The old chevy II's from the 60's used a front sump pan and a remote oil pickup. Stock parts you should be able to pick up on line or at a swap meet.
