My son and I are doing a ground up rebuild of a '55 Chevy p/u. We have just put in a Volare' IFS and are now looking for a rearend. I am told a 9" from a Lincoln Versailles would be good so we would have disk brakes without having the expense of aftermarket parts. I also understand these rearends are getting hard to find. At the wrecking yard I saw some Lincoln Mark VII rearends that looked good. I haven't been able to find any info on these. Are they 8" or 9" and would they be the right width. We're new at this and would appreciate any help. Thanks, Stephen
