need some advice
a buddy of mine found what was left of a very old car. its basically just a frame an engine and a rear end. he's almost positive its a ford, cuz his late dad only bought ford. he said it looks like its from the 30's or 40's. is their any way to find out what kind of car it is? we could run the numbers off of the motor but that doesnt' really prove much. anybody got any ideas?

look on the fire wall for the cowl tag you will get a lot from that most of them were right at the top so there easy to see. also look around for different tags and labels.(ie fisher for gm bodies) you might get company names to research from there.

he said it had no body, just the frame, the motor, and parts of the suspension.

Could you post a picture of the motor, maybe someone will recegonize it? Or pictures of the frame too might help.

if its something worth fixing up hes gonna buy a fiberglass body and build a hot rod out of it. ill see if i can get some pics of it, but im not sure when ill be able to get over there.
