need some info

this is my first time here and first post, i have a question , would anyone have any ideas on building a rear suspension using small coil springs and shocks for drag raceing not the typical coilover setup , the car i have is a 96 firebird and i plan on doing the build myself as much as i can , what i need is something that can handle alot of bb power, i was thinking about ladder bars with a small coil spring setup any ideas would be much appreciated,i plan on building the chassis myself i have welding abilities as well as machine tools anyway thanks for looking . rocky
