In need of T-350 crossmember for 85 Grand Prix
I have an 85 Grand Prix with a CHevy 350 engine and Chevy TH350 trans swapped into it. My original crossmember is not reaching the transmission mount by about 3 inches.

Any ideas on what i should do???
In need of help and suggestions Please.
Anything will help.

Look for second set of holes to bolt the crossmember into. If there are none, and you can, drill some to fit it back the 3 inches you need.

The 85 Frame does have holes for the TH350 & TH2004R Crossmembers.
Sounds like you have a TH2004R Crossmember, mounts almost straight across.
A Crossmember from a 78-88 V8 G-Body that came with a TH200/200C or TH350/350C will work, mounts at an angle.
The V6 Crossmembers are slightly different, had an offset mount but, will work with correct Trans mount.

That cross member should easily adapt to the T-350 trans as it works with T-200 , T-200-4r trans.

any g body th350/200 c/memeber will work..
put a WTB ad at Message Board - Forums powered by UBB.threads™

and ask if the 2004r one works as I'm not sure if it can be correctly..
I've done it.. but I'd not say the install was correct..

I may have said it wrong in my first post but my crossmember will bolt to my frame but when it does the plate where the transmission mount goes in the crossmember to bolt down, is about 3 inches or so away from the whole that it should be in. So I'm kind of just wondering what was up.

I'm going to upload pictures of how a mechanic poorly hacked up my last crossmember and let's just say when I took it off the crossmember wasn't holding any of the weight of the transmission.

g.m. added to the front of the frame boxing when they added the 2004r to these cars as the mount is 3"+/- back from the 350/250/200 mount
so if going from 2004r to a 350 you'd be moving it forward..
the g/p might not be drilled for the 200/250/350 mount holes as they may have come standard with the 2004r by '85
