Need tranny help/advice
 

I have a 71 c10 weekend driver/cruiser with350/350turbo I am wanting to go to a bigblock or a sbc with a blower makinh 400-475hp and more torque. I am wanting to know if I need to go to a 400turbo or powerglide or can my 350 turbo be built to handle this upgrade in hp and torque. I don't know much of anything about transmissions so any advice or suggestion will be great.

the turbo 350 with a mild build will handle the power just fine if your pushing 600-up i would go 400 the 400 at your horse power is not needed inless you plan on going more power later on but i would run the th350 with a manual valve body so you can manual down shift it on the highway when ya wanna get on it an fly past someone
